A women's steam ritual for the dark half of the year
Two hours in the heat with other women. Evergreen steam, warm tea, rest and song.
In the old Lithuanian tale, when Eglė loses the one she loves, she doesn't break. She roots. She becomes a spruce, the tree that stays green through the whole dark winter. So this is a session with the evergreens: a time for staying warm, and remembering what keeps you green when the light is low.
